Our Purpose
Since its founding in 1971, the Professional Staff Organization (PSO) has been dedicated to the freedom and strength of those who serve the organized education profession.
As the Professional Staff of the Indiana State Teachers Association (ISTA), our members assist public school employees throughout the State with contract negotiations, member representations, issue advocacy, professional development, communications strategies, and much more.
PSO supports this vital work by promoting unity within the workforce, advocating on behalf of its members, and providing security and support for every professional worker at ISTA.
Our Partners
PSO is an affiliate of the National Staff Organization (NSO), and we coordinate with fellow workers throughout the country to advance our profession.
Here in Indiana, we are proud to be in partnership with the Associate Staff Organization (ASO), whos members work side-by-side with ours as we work to empower public school employees throughout the state.
